Vamanjoor, Oct 8 : The Closing Ceremony of Annual Special NSS Camp of St. Raymond's P.U. College, Vamanjoor was held at Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath upgraded Government Higher Primary School, Gandhinagar on 06 October 2024. Rev.Sr Gracy Monica BS, Superior, Bethany Provincialate, Vamanjoor presided over the function. In her presidential address, she appreciated the Principal, NSS Program Officer and all the faculty Coordinators for successfully organizing the camp and instilling the values of punctuality, cooperation, patience, adjustability, and above all the significance of Service among the youth. She motivated the volunteers to utilize the knowledge gained through the camp for the betterment of society.

The chief guest of the day Mr Raghavendra Holla, Chairman, Swastika National Business School admired the service of NSS unit which will give opportunities to students in the community development programs and enable them to get experience by exposure to the life outside educational institution.The seven days of living in the community will help the volunteers to strengthen their leadership qualities, self-confidence and helps to get released from stage fear, he added. Mr. Ln. Jagdeesh, Secretary, Lions Club, Gandhinagar congratulated all the Students for their remarkable involvement, hard work in the camp. Mrs. Sharmila D'souza, Headmistress, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath upgraded Government Higher Primary School was felicitated for her stupendous contribution towards the success of the camp. Mr. Manoj Kumar, President, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath upgraded Government Higher Primary School, Gandhinagar, Mrs. Rajeshwari, Teaching Faculty of the school, were the esteemed guests of the day.

Program was directed by Sr. Anita Lydia BS, Principal, St. Raymond's P U College, coordinated by Mr. Jayaram, NSS Program Officer. Mrs. Savitha Menezes, Lecturer in Economics anchored the event. Mrs. Lidwin Crasta, Lecturer in Commerce welcomed everyone. Mr Jayaram, NSS Program Officer, proposed the vote of thanks. The Annual NSS camp was successful with the support and guidance of The Management, Principal, NSS Program Officer, all the faculty members, Heads of St. Raymond's Institutions, Sisters of St. Raymond's Convent, Students, Parents, Alumni, PTA members, Donors and well-wishers .
