Loretto - Bantwal, July 13 : "Spelling is the foundation of literacy, and literacy is the foundation of knowledge".

State Level Grand Finale of " Wiz National Spell Bee" and "Writing Wizards Handwriting Olympiad" Competition 2023 - 2024 was held at Milagris Central School in Mangalore on 9th June, 2024. Loreto English Medium High School students participated in the competition.

The purpose of organizing a spell bee competition is to promote and enhance the linguistic skills of participants by engaging in this event. Participants can improve their vocabulary,  spelling professional and overall language abilities. Spell bee encourages students to explore new words and their meanings. The competition helps students to learn to perform under pressure, boosting their confidence and public speaking abilities beyond language skills. Spell bee also aim to develop participants' cognitive and social skills.

Loreto English Medium High School has achieved great success with multiple students winning Ranks, Medals and Certificate in the Karnataka State Level National Spell Bee Competition. Students namely Joshil Prinston Pinto (Grade 10) secured state level 3rd rank, Prakhyath C. Poojary (Grade 7) secured state level 5th rank, Athith Sharath Shetty (Grade 9) secured state level 6th rank, Adel Lisha Barboza(Grade 6) secured state level 7th rank, Pradyoth C. Poojary (Grade 7) secured state level 8th rank, Sherline Samantha Pinto  (Grade 7) secured state level 10th rank.

The School Principal Rev. Fr. Jason Vijay Monis congratulated the winners and motivated them to participate at the national level. And also appreciation certificates are distributed given by the Writing Wizards Handwriting Olympiad for the dedication and effort put forth in the National Level Writing Wizards Handwriting Olympiad 2023 - 2024.
