Mangaluru, Nov 16, 2023 : Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School Kotekar came alive with the vibrant spirit of Deepavali, the festival of lights. Grade II B students organized a mesmerizing celebration that symbolized the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, spreading joy and harmony among all present. Under the gracious presence of School Principal Sr. Jacintha DSa and Coordinator Sr. Ashwina D Almeida, Shreehan of Grade II B eloquently explained the significance of Deepavali, captivating the audience with insightful presentations.

Dressed in stunning attire, the students showcased their dedication and talent through graceful dances and an energetic skit. The program highlighted the cultural importance of Deepavali, sharing the traditions, rituals, and values associated with the festival.

With its resounding success, the Deepavali celebration at the school brought together cultural richness, community engagement, and joyous festivities that left a lasting impact on everyone involved. Emcees Drushti, Druvi,Manvik and Ruhali from Grade II B added charm to the event, while Jeen Megan Monteiro and Ayisha Faiha played pivotal roles in welcoming and thanking the audience.
