Mangaluru, Oct 12 : The ICYM and YCS units of Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa organized 'Youth Day' on October 2nd 2022. Members took part in Holy Eucharist which was celebrated at 9.30am by Rev Fr Johnson Pereira, assistant Parish priest of Urwa.

Followed by the mass, youth of the parish gathered at Urwa Centenary Hall.  Ms Jennica Fernandes, President of ICYM welcomed the gathering.   Ms Carol Martis, immediate past ICYM secretary read the ICYM report.  

Rev Fr Benjamin Pinto, Urwa Parish Priest, presided over the program.  In his address he emphasized on the role of youth in our community and parish. Rev Fr Johnson Pereira proposed vote of thanks.

Mr Lloyd Lobo, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs Lucy D’Souza, Secretary Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Kevin Martis, coordinator of 21 parish commissions were present.  

After the formal program various group activities and games were conducted for the youth by ICYM members. The youth day came to an end with baila. Total 55 youths were present.
