Mangalore, Feb 18 : Catholic Sabha City Deanery held Bi-decennial celebration on February 17, 2019 at Shakti Nagar Church Hall here. The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Austin Peris, spiritual director of Catholic Sabha City Deanery by pouring water to saplings.

Homage was paid publicly to the 42 martyred Soldiers of Pulwama by lighting the candle and with prayers.

Prakash Pinto Bondel, Walter Saldanha Neermargha, Empriem D’souza Angelore, Ivy D’Silva Derebail, Agnes D’souza Kelarai, David Crasta Shaktinagara, Robert D’souza Bajal, Joachim D’souza Vamanjoor were honoured for their selfless service to the community.

Mr. Lancy D’cunha was also honoured for being elected as president of All India Catholic Union for the second term.

At the end of the programme cultural entertainment programme was organize by different parishes.

Victor Corea City President, Rolphy D’costa Central President, Lancy D’cunha AICU President, Rev. Fr. Austin Peris, Rev. Fr. Jerald D’souza and several Catholic leaders were present. Johnson D’souza Convener proposed Vote of Thanks. Molly Saldanha and Roshan Kamath compered the programme.
