Moodbidri, Feb 24 : Corpus Christi Church joyfully celebrated Catechism Day on Sunday, February 23, 2025, with a spiritually enriching and vibrant program. The day commenced with a solemn 7:30 AM Holy Mass, conducted by students from Grades 4 to 10, showcasing their understanding of faith and devotion.

Following the Mass, all students were served breakfast, fostering a sense of fellowship. At 9:15 AM, the stage program began with a melodious prayer song led by Srs. Renita, Rosy, and the students. The esteemed guests, including Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza, Mr. Vincent D’Souza, Mr. Norbert Martis, Mrs. Celine D’Souza, Sr. Renita, and Sr. Sunitha AC, were warmly escorted to the stage.

The program officially commenced with a welcome speech by Tr. Nancy D’Silva, followed by Tr. Clara D’Costa’s detailed report on the catechism activities of the year. Two students, Relina D’Costa (Grade 10) and Melric Lewis (Grade 6), shared heartfelt experiences about their faith journey.

Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza then delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the importance of catechism in shaping young minds. The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where students were recognized for their achievements. Reece Pinto was specially felicitated for his excellence in sports.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Tr. Laveena Almaida, followed by a soul-stirring hymn sung by Srs. Renita, Rosy, and the children. The program was efficiently compered by Clarissa D’Costa and Risha Pereira, ensuring a seamless and engaging event.
