Christmas celebrated with devotion and fervor at Saverapura Church

Saverapura - Moodbidri, Dec 27 : Christmas was celebrated with devotion and fervor at St Francis Xavier Church, Saverapura, Murkoth Palke on the eve of 24th December 2024.

The celebration began with Carols singing by the parish choir at 7pm. The grand festal mass began at 7.30 pm celebrated by Parish priest Rev Fr Noel Mascarenhas wherein he delivered a meaningful homily.

Beautifully decorated church and an attractive crib enhanced the festive fervor. Parishioners exchanged the festal greetings and were treated with soft drinks and Kuswar.

The mass was followed by the "Christmas Sambhram 2024" event organised by the Parish Pastoral Council. Santa's entry, cake draw, exciting games, dances and skits were the highlights of the evening.

Parish Priest Fr. Noel thanked the parishioners, well wishers and sponsors for their support in celebrating Christmas on such a grand scale.

ICYM member Adline Crasta thanked all ICYM members & parishioners for their whole-hearted support during the Carols singing , Crib making & other preparations for the feast. PPC member Kiran Fernandes compered the programme in his elegant style.

Prior to Christmas, parish youth & children under the leadership of parish ICYM unit, delivered Christmas message with Carols singing in all the 3 wards of the parish and also at Nithyadar Nivas, Alangar.
