Mangaluru, Dec 25, 2024 : Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, celebrated the Spirit of Christmas with unparalleled fervour at the City Centre Mall on December 22nd, from 4 p.m to 5:30 p.m. The event, aptly themed "Christmas with a Difference," aimed to illuminate the deeper meaning of the season through acts of love, hope, and joy.

The celebration commenced by introducing the theme and extending a warm welcome to the audience. Following this, Teacher Reshma extended greetings to the distinguished guests of the evening, Mr S.M. Arshad, Managing Director and Mr S.M. Sawood, Executive Director of the Mohtisham Complexes Pvt. Ltd. City Centre Mall. In a symbolic gesture of gratitude and environmental stewardship, the Vice Principal Sister Teena on behalf of the school management, presented a flower sapling to their representatives.

The Administrator, Sister Carissima delivered an inspiring Christmas message, emphasizing the need to reach out to those in distress. “Millions suffer in silence. Let us bring them solace,” she implored.

The highlight of the evening was a captivating tableau performed by the students of Grade IV. The tableau beautifully depicted the Christmas scene. The performance was harmonized with the soulful singing of carols, leaving the audience spellbound. Aiden Lasrado of grade II B, mesmerized the gathering with his skilful violin renditions of Christmas melodies.

Interspersed between the performances, teachers eloquently articulated the meaning and essence of Christmas in Kannada, Hindi and English, ensuring the message resonated across linguistic boundaries.

The enthusiastic crowd, moved by the students' heartfelt performances, cheered with resounding applause. The MCCS family takes immense pride in their efforts to share peace, hope and joy, trusting that their small yet meaningful actions will inspire many more to embrace the spirit of giving.

The celebration was a vivid reminder that Christmas is not merely about festivities but more about touching lives, spreading love and fostering unity in the community.
