Moodbidri, Nov 3 : On November 2, 2024, the faithful gathered at the Corpus Christi Cemetery at 4:00 PM for the solemn observance of All Souls' Day. The ceremony began with the reading of parishioners' names by Norbert Martis, honoring those who offered the Mass for their departed. Rev. Fr. Onil D'Souza then led the Holy Eucharistic Mass, delivering a powerful message during his homily.

Fr. Onil reflected on the essence of All Souls' Day, noting that the observance serves as a silent reminder of the certainty and impartiality of death. He emphasized that, in history, we often forget the individuals behind grand monuments, but those who leave legacies of good deeds are remembered. "In life, we must strive to do good to be remembered," Fr. Onil stated.

He urged attendees to embrace Jesus' teachings by helping those in need, such as feeding the hungry and clothing the poor, as a path to eternal remembrance. He also encouraged prayers for the souls in purgatory, asking the faithful to support them in their spiritual journey.

Following the Mass, Fr. Onil led a procession to the graveyard, where he recited prayers and blessed the tombs with holy water, concluding the meaningful observance with reverence.
