Bantwal, Jan 1 : St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan celebrated Eucharistic Celebration on 31st December 2023 on the account of 2023 year end. Ceremony began with adoration at 7:00 pm. Later on, the solemn mass began at 8:00pm. celebrated by Rev Fr Alwin D’Souza and Rev Fr Leo Lobo - Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Roshan D'sa concelebrated the mass.

After the mass at 9:15pm, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh R. Nirkan Unit held a program called ‘Adevs 2023 & Swagath 2024’. On this occasion, Rev Fr Leo Lobo - Parish Priest; Rev Fr Roshan D’sa and Rev Fr Alwin Lobo; Vice President & Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council; Convenor of Commission and Parishioners were present. Inaugurated the program by cutting New Year 2024 Cake.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of elocution competition and top scorers of board exams. Housie Housie ticket game was organised and distributed prizes to the winners.

Mr Melwin D’Souza – member of Catholic Sabha Nirkan Unit welcomed the gatherings and compered the programme beautifully whereas Mr Austin Lobo – President of Catholic Sabha Nirkan Unit conveyed vote of thanks.
