Mangaluru, Dec 21 : Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh - Bejai Church Unit celebrated its 25th year - A Silver Jubilee Celebration - since inception on 20th December 1998.

On 20th December 2023 Wednesday, the Silver jubilee celebrations started with a prayerful note by offering a Mass at St Francis Xavier Church Bejai at 5.00pm. Rev Dr J B Saldanha and Rev Fr John Vas were the main celebrants.

Thereafter the official stage programme was organised at Bejai Church Hall at 6.15pm.

The Silver Jubilee celebration was Inaugurated by lighting of lamp by the honourable guests on dais Rev Fr John Vas Chapline and Incharge of Fr Mullers Homeopathy College Deralakatte, Rev Fr J B Saldanha , Spiritual Director of Catholic Sabha Central and PRO of Diocese of Mangalore , Mr Alwyn D Souza President Catholic Sabha Central, Ms Wilma Monteiro Secretary Catholic Sabha Central, Mr Steevan Rodrigues President Catholic Sabha Episcopal City Varado, Mr Ashok Pinto Vice President and Ms Avitha Pinto Secretary Parish Council Bejai Church, Sr Severine Superior St Angela Convent Bejai along with Ms Felcy D Almeida , President and Ms Rose Marie DSouza Secretary Catholic Sabha Bejai Unit graced this occasion with their presence on the dais.

Mr F M Lobo an entrepreneur and an oldest member of associations , Ms Gretta Rebello EX Corporator and women political activist, Mr Patrick Braggs , a social activist and career guider, Mr Lancelot Pinto EX Mayor and 7 time Corporator of MCC - a political leader of the community, Mr Arthur and Ms Leticia an Oldest Couple of our community , were honoured on stage for their unique contribution for society and community at large.

Mr Godwin Pinto was felicitated during the silver Jubilee for being the First President of Catholic Sabha Bejai Unit.

The Chief Guest Fr John Vas said it is time for getting our mantle and run towards our aim. Mr Alwyn D Souza focused on being united in the associations to strengthen the bond between our community. Mr Godwin Pinto spoke about adapting ourselves to the new generation ideas, Mr Patrick Brags encouraged to take up public service as career, Mr Steevan spoke about getting ourselves together to achieve the Goals, Rev Fr J B Saldanha emphasised on doing things in different perspectives and achieve which is not yet been achieved yet.

Ms Felcy D Almeida President Welcomed the Gathering, Ms Rose Marie D Souza Secretary read out the Report of the association in 25 years, Mr Rohan L Sequeira Treasurer organised the programme, Mr Richard Rasquinha EX President proposed Vote of thanks. Ms Jeneviya Andrade was Master of ceremony, Ms Gracy D Souza Joint Secretary, made the Announcements and Documented.

The cultural programme and entertainment programme was conducted after the official stage programme.

The programme concluded with a delicious Dinner.
