Neerude, Dec 12 : On December 10, 2023, the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of St Roque Church , Neerude orchestrated a vibrant and memorable event named Parzal 2K23, tailored exclusively for the parishioners. Commencing at 4 pm, the event unfolded with esteemed guests such as the Parish priest and ICYM director, Rev Fr. Alban Rodrigues, assistant priest Fr. Maxim, Parish council vice president and secretary Mrs. Monika and Mrs. Jecitha, convent superior Rev. Sis. Precilla, Parish ayog sanchalak Roshan Noronha, ICYM Neerude unit president Royden Vaz, and cultural secretary Floyd Pinto. The panel of judges, comprising Edel Saldhana, Dr. Priyanka Menezes, and Joswin D'Silva, added an air of expertise to the occasion.

Following a warm welcome to the guests, Fr. Alban bestowed a blessing upon all attendees through a brief prayer. The formal stage program saw the lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests, culminating with a concise yet impactful speech by Fr. Alban. As the stage program concluded, the festivities transitioned seamlessly into a series of captivating competitions, encompassing fancy dress, solo singing, group singing, solo dance, and group dance. The participation was diverse, ranging from small children to seasoned elders. The anticipation reached its pinnacle during the announcement of the competition results, ultimately concluding the event with the joyous surprise of Santa Claus and a lively baila dance, creating lasting memories for all who attended.
