The program commenced with a hymn led by DMYM members, setting the tone for a day filled with camaraderie and excitement.

Avit Premson Lobo, President of DMYM, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The event was inaugurated symbolically by lighting candles on a Banana Plant, a meaningful gesture carried out by the dignitaries alongside Ward Gurkars.

Rev Fr Anil Canute Dmello emphasized the significance of participation over victory in game activities. He highlighted the physical and mental well-being benefits, noting that such engagements provide a reprieve from daily stressors and contribute to community unity and healthy relationships.

Following the formalities, Sports Secretary Newton Lobo expressed gratitude in a well-conveyed vote of thanks. The lively compering by Ms Glenita Dcunha added an engaging touch to the program.

The morning session featured DMYM members organizing various games for children in batches, including Carrom, Wealth out of Waste, and Art and Craft for the ward members.
Following the lunch break, the afternoon session unfolded with an array of ward-wise traditional activities along with modern activities, evoking nostalgic memories of the games cherished during our childhood days. The atmosphere was infused with a sense of joy and sentimentality as participants engaged in activities reminiscent of the timeless games that formed an integral part of our youth. The event not only fostered community unity but also served as a delightful journey down memory lane, connecting generations through the shared experience of these cherished traditional games.

The eagerly awaited results culminated in the celebration of the champions:

Championship: St Lawrence Ward
