Neerude, Nov 14 : On November 12, 2023, the Catholic Sabha and Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) units of St Roque Church , Neerude organized  'Gandyanth Ek Dees' slush field event for the parish community.

The program commenced at 10 am with a prayer song, and the honored guests included Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Alban Rodrigues, Fr. Maxim, Parish Council President and Secretary, Convent Superior Sister Precilla, Fr. Timothy, Catholic Sabha President, and ICYM President. Ms. Melreeda, the Catholic Sabha Kinnigoli Deanery President, also actively participated in the program.

After the formal stage program, members of different wards showcased traditional village items through a lively rally. Subsequently, games were conducted by PT Sir Santhosh, catering to participants of all age groups, including children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens. The festivities continued with ward-specific games, fostering a sense of community and friendly competition.

The culmination of the event involved the distribution of prizes for winners and overall ward champions, here parishioner IRS Mishal Queenie D'Costa was also present for distribution of prices. The program concluded on a high note with a joyous rain dance, leaving everyone with happy faces.

The Gandyanth Ek Dees celebration, organized by the Catholic Sabha and ICYM, proved to be a resounding success, bringing together the parish community in a spirit of unity and celebration.
