Puttur, Oct 31 : Elders' Day was celebrated on 29th October 2023 at Mai De Deus Church Puttur, under the leadership of commission for family and commission for women, with the cooperation of Don Bosco club, CLC, ICYM, commission for health, commission for differently abled, commission for laity, and commission for migrants.

The elders day celebration began with the Holy Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr Valerian D'Souza. Rev. Fr Stany B. Lobo broke the Word of God during the Eucharistic Celebration. Parish Priest Rev Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Lohith Ajay Mascarenhas joined as co-celebrants of the holy mass.

After the Holy Eucharistic celebration, a programme was held in the church hall. The programme began with the prayer lead by ICYM. Rev. Fr Valerian D'Souza and Rev. Fr Stany B. Lobo, (former parish priests) were present for the programme. They were felicitated during the programme.

Dr Judy Pinto was the resource person of this program.

ICYM members and parishioners orchestrated an entertainment programme.

Mr Paul Herald Mascarenhas and Fr Stany Pinto compered the programme.

It was a beautiful display of unity and respect, showcasing the importance of honoring and cherishing our elders.
