Kirem, Oct 25 : ICYM & YCS units of Our Lady of Remedies Church , Kirem organised "Khel-Mhel" for the parishioners on Sunday , 22nd October 2023, in memory of late Vijay Alwyn Saldanha. The event took place at the Pompei College ground. The program commenced at 9:00 AM with a soulful prayer song led by the members of the YCS and ICYM Kirem unit.

Rev Fr Oswald Montero, Director and Parish priest of Kirem parish ;Rohan D'costa ,Vice President & James Lobo , Secretary - PPC; Nelson Saldanha the resource person ; Wilfred Monis Ayog coordinator ; Sr Philomena ; Fr Praveen SVD; ICYM and YCS animators and the presidents of Kirem units - ICYM Alston Dantis and YCS Ruben Dsouza were the dignitaries present on the dais.

Alston Dantis, President of ICYM Kirem unit warmly welcomed the guests and all gathered . Rev Fr Oswald Monteiro addressed the gathering on the unity among parishioners, all the dignitaries inaugurated the cricket as well as throw ball and gave a start for the Event. Fr Praveen SVD addressed the gathering.

It was an amazing event for Kirem parishioners, with thrilling games like throw ball for women, cricket for men, and tug of war for both men and women. It was a fantastic day that brought the community closer together, fostering unity and togetherness. Many parishioners participated enthusiastically and the event was a tremendous success that made it an unforgettable experience. The purpose of this event was to unite the parishioners and to have a fun filled day . The youth of the parish worked hard for the success of the event.

The valedictory program began at 5.00 pm along with other dignitaries, Rev Fr Apolinaris Crasta addressed the parishioners. Later prizes were distributed to the winners. YCS president Ruben Dsouza proposed vote of thanks.

Event was concluded by the ICYM anthem. The day was filled with laughter, friendship and unity.
