Kinnigoli, Oct 21 : On 15 October 2023, ICYM Balkunje Unit organised 'FLAME 2023' for all the parish youth. The program commenced after mass with a stage program. Rev Fr Paul Sequeira, parish priest of Balkunje church presided over the program. Rev Fr Rupesh Madtha and Rev Fr Richard Dsouza were the guests of the day. Dr Freeda Rodrigues, vice president of parish council, Mrs Nancy Cardoza, secretary of parish council, Mrs Lavina Serrao, convenor of pastoral commissions, Clarissa Cardoza, Lady vice president of ICYM Balkunje, Neha Serrao, secretary of ICYM Balkunje, Rahil Rodrigues, President of YCS Balkunje and Chrisal Vinola Lopez, secretary of YCS Balkunje were present on the dais.

The first session was conducted by Fr Rupesh Madtha. Various topics that concern today's youth were discussed. Parents were also present for a part of the session. It was an interactive session where parents as well as the youth discussed some of the problems faced commonly in their houses, and how to overcome them.

The second session was conducted by Fr Richard Dsouza. This session focused on the use of mobile phones. It was a practical session where various tips were shared so as to keep our personal data from being stolen by hackers.

After lunch, games were conducted by the council members. Wilma Lobo, general secretary of ICYM central council Diocese of Mangalore and Jaison Dsouza, Auditor of ICYM central council Diocese of Mangalore and Colin Dsouza, Amcho Yuvak editor of ICYM central council Mangalore took charge of games. Action songs were also sung. Mitesh Dsouza, President of ICYM central council Diocese of Mangalore and Ms Melreeda Rodrigues, president of Catholic Sabha Kinnigoli Varado and Royston Dsouza, Vice president of ICYM Mangalore North Deanery paid a visit to this program. Mitesh Dsouza addressed the youth.

Neha Serrao delivered the vote of thanks, Allan Sequeira compered the program.
