Bantwal, Oct 8 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Bantwal Deanery organized Yuva Sparsh 2023, Deanery Youth Convention on 01 October 2023 at 9:30 am at Anugraha Main Hall .

Registration was conducted at 9:00 am and followed by breakfast.

The Event “YUVA SPARSH” began with the Prayer Service conducted by Rev.Fr. Rahul Dexter Dsouza.

The program was hosted by Venessa Moras .

Nihan Sequeira, the President of ICYM Bantwal Deanery welcomed the guests and gathering.

Inaugural function was presided over by Elson Dsouza Hirgan– Resource Person ,Rev. Fr. Valerian Dsouza–Vicar forane ,Rev. Fr. Rahul Dexter Dsouza – Director of ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Mithesh Dsouza -President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese ,Wilma Viyola Lobo – Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese , Lavisha Dasy Dsouza – Lady Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese and Deanery Representative, Viola Reshma Lewis – Karnataka Regional Representative, Kevin Rodrigues -Red Drop Representative of ICYM Mangalore Diocese , Sunil Veigas - Vice President and Manohar Dcosta - Secretary of Infant Jesus Church Modankap along with Nihan Sequeira – President and Wilson Pinto – Secretary of ICYM Bantwal Deanery .

Deltan Lobo, Nicole Moras,and Rolson Dsouza were honoured by dignitaries for winning Trio Star Title conducted by MCC Ltd.

Mithesh D'Souza addressed the youth and congratulated them for actively participating and also shared his thoughts and gave his wonderful message .

Kevin Rodrigues and Viola Reshma Lewis were honoured for their present and past service in ICYM Deanery and Diocese .

Former President , Secretary of ICYM Bantwal Deanery were honoured for their service and unconditional support . A token of appreciation was given to the past VEXCO members and Deanery Council members .

Wilson Pinto , the Secretary of Deanery rendered the vote of thanks..

Glenita Dsa the Joint Secretary of Deanery welcomed the Resource Person.

An interactive morning session was conducted by Elson Dsouza Hirgan, Assistant Professor of BBA Department at St. Agnes College Mangaluru. The session was based on “ Importance of Making Decisions at your early age and not to fall for any addictions" . And also gave some topics such as Youth Movement and Problems ,Youth Movement and Faith ,Youth Movement and Social Media etc to create art and show the positivity and negativity going across daily life of a youth.

Rev.Fr.Rahul Dexter Dsouza thanked the Resource Person with a token of gratitude .

Rev.Fr.Ashwin Cardoza – Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Praveen Dcunha the President of Vittla Deanery, Anthony Mascharenhas - President of Puttur Deanery, attended the event. Memento was given as a token of gratitude to them by Rev.Fr.Rahul Dexter Dsouza and Nihan Sequeira.

Lunch was served and the afternoon session began at 2.30 pm.

For the Afternoon session , fun filled activities were conducted by Vexco and Entertainment programs were conducted by different Units of Bantwal Deanery.

In the end, picture was captured and the Director of ICYM Bantwal Deanery thanked everyone for the success of “ YUVA SPARSH ”

The refreshment was arranged for the youth and the event ended up with a baila dance at 4:30 pm.
