Mangaluru, Sep 5 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement unit of St. Anne Church , Kelarai on the occasion of its Ruby Jubilee Year (40th Anniversary) , organized "Gadyanth Gouji 2023" , a fun-filled day in the field , for all its parishioners on September 3, 2023.

The inaugural ceremony began at 9:30 am presided by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas as the President ,Chief guests Mr Santhosh Dcosta - Vice President of Kelarai Govlik Parishad , Mrs. Celine Dmello Secretary of Kelarai Govlik Parishad, Mr. Shridhar President of Neermarga Panchayat, Members of Neermarga Panchayat Mr. Bhaskar Manur, Mrs. Satyakshi and Mrs. Mohini, ICYM Mangalore Diocese President Mr. Mithesh D’Souza and Auditor Mr. Jason Dsouza, ICYM Kelarai Animators Mrs. Linet Crasta and Mr. Vinod Pereira, Brother Hillary Rodrigues, Sr. Shanthi , ICYM Kelarai President Ms. Arleen Dsouza and Secretary Ms. Lenisha Crasta were present on the dais.

ICYM Kelarai President Ms. Arleen Dsouza welcomed the gathering. March past was carried out creatively by all the members of the wards . Symbolic inauguration of the Gadyanth Gouji 2023 was carried out by all the dignitaries. Mr. Shridhar The President of Neermarga Panchayat addressed the gathering followed by ICYM Mangalore Diocese President Mr. Mithesh D’Souza . Rev Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas Parish Priest of Kelarai delivered the Presidential address . The dignitaries honoured Ms. Pratiksha Amin for securing Gold Medal in MPharm In Rajiv Gandhi University . The Secretary of ICYM Kelarai Ms. Lenisha Crasta proposed the vote of thanks.

After the inaugural ceremony, the parishioners enjoyed a fun-filled day in the field playing various games like running race, relay , tug of war, kabaddi and throw ball and played sportively to win prizes.

The day concluded with a rain dance enjoyed by all .
