Mangaluru, Aug 18, 2023 : ICYM Central Council of Mangalore Diocese , on the occasion of 77th Independence Day, organized “Sutka” - An awareness programme on De-addiction from drugs and alcoholic habits.
Mrs. Lydia Lobo, Administrator LINK Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts, Bajal Mangalore was the resource person. She has worked as a Chief functionary for SANCHI Trust Mangalore, where she worked for Women and Children especially for the marginalized at the grass root level.

The main intention of their trust is that the youth and the elders who are addicted to drugs and other forms of substance abuse are being treated in such a way that they help them avoid tempting situations and also replace the unhealthy behaviours with the healthy ones. They also try to control them from consuming more alcohol and drugs.
Mr Mithesh D’Souza ICYM President and General Secretary Ms Wilma Lobo of the central council of the diocese of Mangalore interviewed the resource person.
