Mangaluru, Aug 11 : St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru held its inaugural ceremony of the new cabinet for the year 2023- 24 on 11 August 2023. The theme for the Inaugural was 'Eclat- Illuminating the Path Together.' The Chief guest for the occasion was Sri U.T Khader Fareed, Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

The programme began with the invocation of God's blessings through a prayer song followed by a welcome dance. Mrs Shubarekha, Dean Administration, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.

36 students from the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes were sworn in as the student cabinet members of St Agnes College for the year 2023-24 by the principal Sr Dr M. Venissa AC.

Sri UT Khader was then felicitated by the college. In his address he said that it was not the politicians and administrators but the students who actually contribute to the growth and development of the nation. He addressed the council members and said that the council is the bridge between the management and the students and hence they should have a constructive mind and not a destructive mind. They need to find solutions to problems as student leaders rather than creating problems. He also congratulated the management for successfully fulfilling the responsibility of imparting quality education to youth for more than 100 years.

The student cabinet is a body of leaders at the student level and the new council is headed by the UG President, Ms Shainy Manisha Pinto and PG President, Ms Aditi HP.

Sr Dr M Maria Roopa AC- the Joint secretary of the St Agnes Institutions, Sr Dr M Venissa AC, the Principal, Sr Dr M Vinora AC- the PG Coordinator, Sr M Carmel Rita- the Administrator, Sr M Clara AC- the Vice principal, Dr Ita - IQAC Coordinator, Mrs Malavika Shetty - the staff coordinator of the student cabinet also graced the occasion.
