Mangaluru, July 18 : The Catholic Action League Bendur (CAL Bendur / ICYM unit) organized an Oath-Taking Ceremony and General Meeting on June 18, 2023, at St Sebastian Church, Bendur. The event aimed to inaugurate the newly elected Executive Committee members and gather the CAL members for a day of motivation, activities, and camaraderie. The program was well-attended and marked by the presence of esteemed dignitaries.

The event commenced with a prayer led by CAL members, setting a spiritual and positive tone for the gathering. Mr. Sanjay D'Souza, the President of CAL Bendur, delivered the welcome address, extending a warm welcome to all attendees and expressing gratitude for their presence.

The dais hosted several esteemed guests who graced the event with their presence. The dignitaries included : Rev. Fr. Vincent Monteiro (CAL Director), Mr. Vinod D'Souza (Animator), Sanjay D'Souza (President), Shawn D'Souza (Vice President), Sharon Tyana Menezes (Lady Vice President), Joswin Pinto (Secretary), Meagen D'Souza (Joint Secretary), Erica Lobo (Treasurer), Leon Menezes (Auditor), Kenneth Stephen D'Sa (ECD Rep), Meldrin Mascarenhas (AmchoYuvak / PRO), Muriel Mascaranhas (Red Drop).

Rev. Fr. Vincent Monteiro, the Director of CAL Bendur, addressed the gathering. He delivered an inspiring message, urging the newly elected office bearers to work selflessly and diligently serve the unit and parish.The event encompassed various engaging activities and sessions designed to motivate and entertain the attendees.

A gesture of appreciation and recognition was extended to the former members of the Executive Committee for their valuable contributions.

Mr. Vinod D'Souza delivered a motivational talk, inspiring the attendees to embrace their roles with dedication and enthusiasm.

Rev. Fr. Vincent Monteiro shared his profound insights and guidance, enlightening the audience with his words of wisdom.

Mr. Nihal Rego facilitated icebreaker sessions and conducted engaging activities to foster camaraderie and enhance the interactive spirit among the attendees. To add an element of fun and entertainment, a variety of games were organized, including quizzes, dumb charades, and obstacle races, allowing participants to showcase their skills and enjoy a competitive spirit.

Mr. Joswin Pinto, the Secretary of CAL Bendur, delivered the proposed vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event.

Ms. Defney Dsouza efficiently conducted the event as the Master of Ceremonies, ensuring a smooth flow and engaging the audience throughout the proceedings.
