Omzoor, Jan 1 : Feast of Mary the Mother of God and New Year Celebration was held at Holy Family Church, Omzoor, Meramajal with religious zeal on the eve of December 31, 2022 . On this auspicious day, the newly elected Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council Mr Arthur D Souza, Secretary Mrs Daffny Lewis, Parish Finance Council members and Parish Pastoral Council members took oath which was administered by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr Alwyn D Cunha.

A large number of faithful attended the Eve Mass. Fr Jerald Lobo (Fransican – Native Priest) was the main celebrant. Fr Lancy Rebello (OFM – Native Priest), Parish Priest Rev Fr Alwyn D’Cunha and Dn. Lohith Mascarenhas were co-celebrants. The Parish Priest thanked the Muddoms & Well-wishers and the Parishioners. He blessed and wished everyone a Healthy & Prosperous New Year. He thanked the active and energetic youth for their participation in liturgy. Entertainment program was held by ICYM-YCS after the mass.
