Through a range of events and activities, this day encourages reflection, empowerment, and collective action towards a more inclusive and equal world for all women.

St. Agnes School (CBSE) marked this significant occasion with a vibrant and uplifting Women's Day celebration in the school auditorium, paying tribute to the power, resilience, and essential contributions of women in all spheres of life. The event was a heartfelt acknowledgment of the extraordinary impact women have made on society.

The celebration commenced with a meaningful prayer service, invoking blessings for the well-being, progress, and success of women around the world. This reflective and spiritual start set an inspiring tone for the day. Following the prayer, Shreya Lokesh, a Grade 6 student, delivered a warm welcome address, emphasizing the significance of the day. She introduced the Chief Guest, Teacher Raina Coelho, who was greeted with a potted plant by the Principal, Sr. Maria Sarika A.C., as a symbol of gratitude and growth.

The cultural segment was the highlight of the event, beginning with a captivating welcome dance performed by the students. The graceful performance was an exuberant tribute to the strength, beauty, and elegance of women. Sanvitha Ravish then took the stage, presenting a powerful narrative that traced the historical struggles faced by women and emphasized their invaluable contributions in various domains, from domestic life to leadership, education, and science.

The cultural showcase continued with an evocative skit that brought to light the ongoing challenges women face in society. The students' performances eloquently conveyed the importance of gender equality and education as essential tools for empowerment. This emotional and impactful portrayal resonated deeply with the audience.

A poignant dance drama followed, illustrating the journey of women from oppression to empowerment. The powerful performance highlighted how women have long fought for their rights and equality, and today, they stand as pillars of strength, courage, and leadership.

The celebration also included the recognition of outstanding teachers for their exceptional contributions. Teacher Priya was honoured for her remarkable work in news reading at Daijiworld, where her voice has made a lasting impact. Teacher Shobha was celebrated for her unwavering commitment to environmental conservation, playing a pivotal role in raising awareness and protecting the environment. Teacher Babitha was applauded for her outstanding achievements in the District-level Physical Education Teachers’ Tournament, where she secured top positions in multiple events, including First place in Long Jump and Mixed Relay and Second place in Volleyball, Throwball, and Tug of War. These accomplishments underscored her dedication to sports and physical fitness within the school community.

The Chief Guest, Teacher Raina Coelho, delivered a thought-provoking and inspiring speech, emphasizing the pivotal role women play in shaping society, from the home to the workplace. She encouraged the students to appreciate the strength and resilience of women throughout history, urging them to contribute to a future where gender equality prevails.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Hiyam, expressing gratitude to all those who made the celebration a resounding success. The day’s proceedings were skilfully compered by Leanna Jean Crasta and Sthuti P. Kamath, whose seamless coordination ensured the event flowed smoothly. As the celebration came to a close, the school anthem was sung, marking the conclusion of a memorable and inspiring Women’s Day celebration.

Principal Sr. Maria Sarika A.C., along with the male staff members, organized a series of fun and engaging games for the women teaching and support staff on Women's Day. The competitions fostered camaraderie, and prizes were awarded to the winners, making the celebration even more enjoyable and memorable. In appreciation of their efforts in organizing the games, Principal Sr. Maria Sarika A.C. commended the male teachers and presented them with a token of gratitude.
