Mangaluru, March 4, 2025 : Carmel School CBSE, Kotekar, celebrated National Science Day on February 28th with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Chief Guest P.V. Sukumaran, Deputy Director General (Retd.) ; Sr. Pramila D'Souza, AC, Principal; Sr. Anitha D'Souza, AC, Vice Principal; and Sr. Ashwina, AC, Coordinator.
The celebration began with a soulful prayer song, followed by a graceful welcome dance performed by the students. Saanvi Suvarna delivered the welcome speech, setting the tone for the day. The program was skillfully compered by Aaysha Manha and Rishon, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow of events.
Adding depth to the occasion, Nishi highlighted the significance of National Science Day, emphasizing how science influences our daily lives and drives innovation.
One of the most captivating moments was a vibrant dance performance, showcasing India’s scientific achievements, including the country’s historic milestone of becoming the fourth nation to land on the moon. This artistic expression reflected both the students' creativity and their admiration for scientific advancements.
Following this, the students presented an inspirational group song, celebrating the wonders of science and its impact on humanity.
The Chief Guest, P.V. Sukumaran, then addressed the gathering with an insightful speech on the Raman Effect, the groundbreaking discovery by Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman. He elaborated on its significance in physics and encouraged students to cultivate curiosity and a passion for scientific exploration.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Shanvi, who expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests, teachers, and students for making the celebration a resounding success.
