Mangaluru, Jan 27, 2025 : The Dakshina Kannada Kannada Sahitya Sammelana will be held on February 21 and 22 at the campus of Mangalore University in Konaje. In connection with this, a decision was made in the Mangalore Hobli Kannada Sahitya Parishat meeting to organize an awareness program for writers, literary enthusiasts, and students.
The meeting was held at the Bishop House Church Building, Kodialbail, under the leadership of Hobli President Raymond D'cunha Taccode. During the meeting, Dakshina Kannada KASAPA District Organizational Secretary Dr. Pushparaj spoke, offering guidance.
Sister Veronica SRA, a Hobli Executive Member, mentioned starting a Kannada association at Vamanjoor Vidyajyothi School and many students will attend the Sammelana and take part in discussions.
Dr. Giriyappa suggested that after receiving the invitation for the Dakshina Kannada Sammelana, another Hobli meeting should be convened, and efforts should be made to invite both senior and junior writers, as well as institutions in the Mangalore area.
Special invitees for the meeting included Shanti Veronica Mohan, President of the Aloysius College Cricket Academy, and Riana D'cunha.
The meeting, held under the guidance of Kasapa Dakshina Kannada District President MP Srinath, was welcomed and addressed by Hobli President Raymond D'cunha Taccode.
