Puttur, Jan 27, 2025 : The 76th Republic Day was celebrated on January 26 at the premises of St Philomena (Autonomous) College, Puttur. The Principal of St Philomena PU College, Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, unfurled the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the students of the Cultural Association.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Vijay Kumar Moleyar, Vice Principal of St Philomena College and the Chief Guest for the event, spoke about the significance of Republic Day. He emphasized that this day marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution, which declared India a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic. He reminded the sacrifices made by countless individuals to achieve this milestone and urged everyone to contribute to building a stronger and more unified nation.
