Mangaluru, Jan 8 : The Postgraduate Departments of MBA and MCA, in collaboration with the Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK), organized a guest talk titled “Stepping into the Corporate World” on January 7, 2025. This session aimed to enhance the understanding of corporate dynamics and professional settings for all MBA and MCA students.

Mr. Ronald Gomes, President of CASK, emphasized the importance of addressing challenges with a solution-oriented approach and encouraged students to focus on resolving issues rather than creating them and addressed creativity, quality content, and effective time management. He highlighted the significance of identifying a mentor for professional and personal growth.
Session Highlights:
• Parashuram Theory: Advises against over-promising and under-delivering.
• 80/20 Principle: 80% of tasks may not require advanced qualifications, while 20% demand specialized expertise.
• Enablers vs. Disablers: Encouraged adopting an enabler mindset for organizational success.
• Planning and Accountability: Key takeaway question: “If I do this, what can go wrong? If it goes wrong, what can I do to make it right?”
The session commenced with a prayer song led by Mr. Cliyon and team. Mr. Vinston Menezes, Student Vice President of MBA, welcomed and introduced the resource speaker. Mr. Ronald Gomes, President of CASK, officially inaugurated the event. Other dignitaries included Sr Dr. M. Venissa A.C., Principal, St. Agnes College; Sr Dr. M. Vinora A.C., PG Coordinator; and Ms. Marjorie Texeira, Vice President of CASK and Program Coordinator.
The program concluded with Ms. Niharika from second MCA delivering a vote of thanks.
Mr. Gerald D’Souza, Mentor of the MBA department, presented a token of gratitude to the resource speaker. The event received positive feedback from students who found it enriching and inspiring. Mr. Vinston Menezes served as the Master of Ceremony, ensuring the smooth progression of the event.
