Mangaluru, Jan 7 : A skill-oriented program titled "Demonstration on J-GATE: An Electronic Gateway to Global e-Journal Literature" was organized by the St. Agnes College Library and Information Centre on Monday, 6th January 2025.

Mr. Rathish Iyer, Training & Business Development Manager at Informatics Publishing Ltd., Bangalore, was the Resource Person for the session. He provided a comprehensive demonstration on creating individual profiles, accessing relevant articles, identifying peer-reviewed journals, and publishing research in various disciplines. His session highlighted the importance of JGATE: Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences database for academic and research purposes.

Sr Dr M Venissa AC Principal, and Sr Dr Roopa Rodrigues AC, Vice Principal, faculty members, Postgraduate and Undergraduate students attended the event. Mr. Prathik B. Rai, of II Year M.Sc. Psychology welcomed the gathering, introduced the resource person and also compared the programme. Mrs. Sheryl Preethika, Assistant Professor of M.B.A. shared her opinion, and Mrs. Christal Nisha Mascarenhas, Assistant Librarian proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr. Vishala B.K., Chief Librarian, encouraged students to leverage J-GATE for teaching, learning and project work. More than 250 students, including those working on academic projects, and teachers pursuing their Ph.D. degrees, benefited from the program.
