Moodbidri, Dec 31 : The United Nations designated the year 2024 as the International Year of Camelid to recognize and promote the welfare of these remarkable animals. To mark this occasion, Carmel School organized an engaging and educational quiz competition on December 18, 2024, under the guidance of the school cabinet.
The event commenced with a melodious prayer song, setting a serene and joyful tone for the day. Jenelia Menezes extended a warm welcome to the gathering, highlighting the significance of the event. The quiz, hosted by Hiba Sheikh, consisted of six fun and interactive rounds that captivated the audience and participants alike. Each round was meticulously designed to enhance awareness and appreciation for camelids, their role in ecosystems, and their importance to various cultures.
The competition was vibrant and lively, with participants showcasing their knowledge and enthusiasm. The rounds included thought-provoking questions, visual aids, and quick-fire segments, ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone present.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Relina D’Costa, who expressed gratitude to the organizers, participants, and audience for making the event a success.
