Mangaluru, Sep 9, 2024 : The St Agnes high school cabinet members under the leadership of SPL Pallavi, ASPL Shwetha and Opposition leader Drithi, organised a heartwarming Teachers' Day celebration to honor and appreciate the teachers. The program was filled with a variety of performances and activities showcasing the students' creativity, talent, and gratitude.

The act of welcoming the teachers with flower petals set the perfect tone for the event, signifying the honor and reverence the students hold for their teachers. It was a moment of joy and admiration, as the teachers, with smiles on their faces, walked through the aisle decorated with petals, feeling the gratitude and love from their students. This was followed by a prayer service creating an atmosphere of serenity and invoking blessings for all.

Iha Zulaika highlighted the significance of Teachers' Day with a Power Point presentation. She emphasized the role of teachers in shaping students' future and their contributions to the welfare of the society.

The programme then proceeded with a Malayalam welcome dance which was gracefully performed by a group of students, symbolizing the cultural diversity of the school. This was followed by a humorous skit in Hindi, which drew continuous laughter and applause from the audience.

In a special tribute to the teachers, the students presented a dance, expressing their admiration and gratitude to the teachers through graceful movements. Following this was a Kannada skit on 'respect and love for teachers', the skit depicted everyday challenges faced by the teachers in the classroom. Through the skit, the students acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the teachers.

The energy of the programme continued to rise as the students presented a vibrant freestyle dance performance by both boys and girls, showcasing their joy and enthusiasm in celebrating this special day, showcasing their enthusiasm and love for their teachers.

As the event neared its conclusion, the students honored the teachers with flowers, a gesture of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. This was followed by the felicitation of sports winners, recognizing the students who had excelled in Taluk Level Sports meet.

The programme ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks rendered by Pallavi., expressing her gratitude to the teachers, the school administration, and everyone who contributed to making the event a success.

On 4th September, the PTA executive committee members organised a short celebration to honour the teachers. The celebration kicked off with a melodious wishing song for teachers sung by the parents. A few exciting but simple games were conducted creating a moment of laughter and bonding. The celebration by the parents concluded with a special meal organised by the parents. It was an opportunity for teachers and parents to relax, share stories and enjoy each other's company.

The day was filled with joy, laughter and heartfelt appreciation, making it a memorable one for both the students and the teachers.
