Mangaluru, May 27 : A day’s workshop on Developing writing skills was conducted by Mr Stany D Souza in the Carmel school Auditorium on 25th May 2024. The session was specifically designed for the teaching faculty, aiming to enhance their understanding and teaching of writing skills.

The workshop commenced with an informative session on handwriting analysis, also known as graphology, a method used to identify the traits of an individual through their handwriting. The initial session provided a comprehensive overview of graphology, emphasizing its potential to identify physiological and psychological problems before they become too severe. Participants learned how graphology could be an excellent tool to identify stress and gain valuable insights into people's characters. Mr. Souza meticulously explained various aspects of handwriting such as slants, margins, spacing, pressure, loops, zone theory and the size of letters, illustrating how these elements relate to personality traits. The attendees were taught the correct way to form letters with precise strokes, ensuring clarity and consistency in handwriting. Additionally, the process of graphology analysis and its practical utilisation were thoroughly discussed.

Following the handwriting analysis, the second session delved into the definition and usage of signatures. This section provided knowledge into the significance of a signature and its proper application, in both personal and professional contexts. Mr. Souza explained how signatures can reflect one's personality and the importance of a well-crafted signature in various legal and formal scenarios.

The workshop was well-received by all attendees, who appreciated the detailed instruction and realistic advice. The event marked a significant step in the continuous professional development of the faculty, helping them examine the possibility of a correlation between clinical diagnosis and graphological analysis. Furthermore, it allowed the teachers to explore the key links between underlying personality traits and their manifestations in handwriting among children, equipping them with new tools to support their students' development.

Ms Seema got the participants acquainted with the Resource Person and welcomed Mr Stany in a creative welcome address. Sister Premal issued the message of thanks.
