Mangaluru, Nov 15 : On November 10th 2023, Children's day was celebrated at St. Agnes Preparatory school with great zeal to mark the birthday of the former Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The programme began with invoking God’s blessings with a prayer song, intentions and prayers offered to bless the little ones. Beautiful welcome dance was footed by the teachers to welcome the tiny tots. Sr LaetitiaLobo AC the coordinator and chief guest of the day lit the lamp along with the little ones and commended the unfurling of the programme. The preschool teachers entertained the children with the act of nursery rhymes, wishing song was choired with great joy to wish good for the little ones. Teacher Shanthi dressed up as Jawaharlal Nehru, amused the little ones and made them know the importance of the day.
Moral values give a sense of what is right and wrong. In this contest a moral skit was performed to make little ones aware of the salient features of values. A glorious fusion dance was swayed by the teachers to bring out the joy and enthusiasm in the children. The chief guest of the day. Sr Laetitia Lobo spoke to the little ones about the significance of the day and gave out the prizes to the winners who won in the lucky games conducted on the occasion of the children day. Paper craft was prepared in the classroom along with each child which helped them on their motor skill and concentration, and then handed over to the children. Tr Josna anchored the whole programme and helped the children be under regiment. Altogether the day was full of merry making and contentment. Children were delighted to have an indelibly happy day .
