Vamanjoor, Nov 2 : The National Service Scheme (NSS) annual camp 2023-2024, of St. Raymond’s College, Vamanjoor, was inaugurated on 31 October, 2023 at Medaline High School, Mulki. The Corporate Manager of Bethany Education Society and the Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. Cicilia Mendonca B.S. presided over the inaugural ceremony. Rev. Fr. Trishan Dsouza, the Secretary of Mangalore Bishop, invoked the blessings upon the program and all the participants; Lion Sudeer Baliga, President of Lions Club Bappanadu, Mulki; Sr. Mariola B.S; Sr. Shubha B.S; Sr. Vitalis B.S; Lion Venkatesh Hebbar, Charter President Lions Club, Bappanadu, Mulki; Mr. Ashok Shetty, retired officer of Syndicate Bank, Mulki; Sr. Jesintha Crasta B.S. the Principal of St Raymond’s College; Sr. Marissa Lucy Pinto B.S; Sr. Presilla B.S; were present for the inaugural ceremony. In her presidential address, Sr. Cicilia Mendonca invited the participants to cultivate good values and live accordingly to be a good person in the society. Discipline, patience and humanness are the important qualities that everyone must cultivate. Further, she explained to the participants the importance of the NSS training and wished them well in their future.

The inaugural function was directed by Sr. Jesintha Crasta BS, the Principal of St. Raymond’s College, Coordinated by Dr Sujana, the NSS program officer, Ms. Vinutha, the assistant coordinator anchored the program and Ms. Olita, the NSS student volunteer proposed the vote of thanks.
