The programme began with the arrival of the chief guest Ms Maria Laveena Rodrigues, a National athlete along with Administrator Sr Carissima, Sr Meena and Physical Education teacher Mr Praveen.

The gathering paid respect in unison as the School flag was hoisted high pointing to the sky striving towards a better world, bringing laurels to the school. The programme commenced by invoking God’s blessings led by a prayer song by the students of grade IV. Tr Jenitha accorded a heartfelt welcome and emphasised on the importance of sports in a child's life followed by a welcome dance. The students from grade I to IV entered into the spirit of the occasion in a spectacular way as they showcased a Mass Drill which set the tone for the rest of the event.

The chief guest declared the sports meet open, as the four coloured balloons representing the four colours of the houses - Blue Bells, Orchids, Anthuriums and Tulips were released into the sky wishing to strive higher and nobler. The Chief Guest, Ms Maria Laveena Rodrigues in her message urged every child to engage at least in one sport which helps them in their holistic development.

Then came the moment when the races began and the air was filled with the five S’s of Sports – Strength, Speed, Stamina, Skill and Spirit along with tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The true spirit of sportsmanship was portrayed in all the events throughout the day. The winners were felicitated immediately after their event. It was also a day to please the palates of the students who hopped, skipped and jumped from one food stall to another.

Tr Ireal Ferrao compered the programme and Tr Ranjini proposed a note of gratitude. It was indeed a day of spirit filled sportsmanship coupled with fun and frolic.
