Mangaluru, Oct 3 : Milagres P. U. College here hosted the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti and Mangalore DIST Inter College P. U Level, Departmental Football Tournament at Nehru Maidan Football Ground on Monday 2nd October 2023.

Principal Mr. Melwin Vas presided over the programme, District football Association President Mr. Aslam, District Co-ordinator and Physical Education Lecturer St. Joseph PU College Bajpe Mr. Arun Dsouza, Mr. Rohith M , Lecturer Badria PU College, Mr.Siggi Perumayan Physical Education Lecturer Milagres PU College and Mr. Kiran Dsouza, Lecturer Milagres PU College were present at the event.  

The departmental tournament was organised for the boys and eight teams of the district  were present.

Principal Mr. Melwin Vas & the dignitaries honoured Mahathma Gandhiji by offering flowers and inaugurated the tournament. In his presidential address, Principal Mr. Melwin Vas urged the students to play the sports with a spirit of sportsmanship and also he gave the message to the students about Gandhi Jayanthi.

The dignitaries awarded the championship trophy at the valedictory programme to the winners Ullal Taluk Team and they also awarded the runners trophy to  the Moodabidre Taluk Team.

Mr. Kiran Dsouza, Lecturer & NSS programme Officer, Milagres PU College compered the event & welcomed the gathering  and Mr. Siggi D Perumayan  proposed the vote of thanks.
