Mangaluru, Sep 29 : The annual Camp of Scouts and Guides, Bulbuls and Cubs was held on 26th and 27th September- 2023 in St. Agnes Special school Premises, Bendore. They gathered at 4.30pm on 26th September and had their activities such as Shramadhan, Campfire and fun games .

The formal inauguration was held on the 27th September at 8.45 am. Mr. K. Vasanth Rao- President- Scouts and Guides Dakshina Kannada ,Mr.Bharath Assistant- State Organising Commissioner, The Bharath Scouts, and Guides Dakshina Kannada District, Sandhya – The treasurer- The Bharath Scouts, and Guides Dakshina Kannada District and their well-wisher Mr.Harsha Kumar- Assistant District Commissioner were present along with Sr. Linet Maria – Joint Secretary St. Agnes Special School, Sr. Marie Christine- Director- St. Agnes Vocational Training Centre and Sr. Shruthi- Principal St. Agnes Special School.

After the inauguration, the kit inspection was held. Thereafter the activities such as cooking without fire, Treasure hunt, Adventurous games etc. were held. The deputy Sub- Inspector Vishwanath Rai Kadri Police station addressed the group and gave the demonstration on traffic rules.

They appreciate the gracious visit of their Honourable Speaker- Karnataka Government Shri U.T Khadar on this occasion, who interacted with the scouters and guiders and recalled his youthful days where he was involved in all these activities. He also appreciated the staff and management for giving such opportunities to these children and bringing them to the mainstream.

The camp ended at 2.45pm. The Principal Sr. Maria Shruthi lowered the flag and congratulated the staff and the students for taking part in all the activities actively and wholeheartedly.
