Seminar on ‘Organics for Flexitronics’ held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Sep 6 : The Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, Centre for Postgraduate and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized a seminar on “Organics for Flexitronics”, on 5 September 2023. The resource person was Dr N Somanathan, Retired Deputy director and Head of Polymer Science and Technology CLRI-Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai and Dr Geetha Pinto, Associate professor being the convener of the session. The session was attended by the Degree students, the faculty members along with the postgraduate chemistry students.

Sr Tomsy emceed the seminar and the session began by a prayer song from Ms Chaithralaksmi along with her classmates. Dr Sapna Kumari, the head of the department welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person to the audience. Dr N Somanathan introduced the application of organic chemistry into electronics and its other numerous applications in polymer science. The audience had a short interaction time with the resource person after the presentation.
