Vamanjoor, Aug 9 : St. Raymond's P.U.College in collaboration with Personnel of Vamanjoor City Police Station conducted an Awareness Cum Orientation Program on POCSO for the staff and students on 7th August 2023 in the College Auditorium. The aim of this programme was to acquaint and strengthen students and teachers with Acts and Laws of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) and to educate everyone on various topics related to child safety and protection.

During the program the students were educated on the topics which included good touch and bad touch, abuses of various crimes, Cyber Crimes, Juvenile justice and its implications on the child conduct in the college. The students were taught about the dangers of the internet, social media and how to protect themselves from Cyber Predators. The session was addressed by Mrs. Bharathi, Mr. Ramanayak and Mr. Chandra.

Rev. Sr. Anita Lydia, Principal of St. Raymond's P.U.College impactfully reiterated the contents of the orientation and emphasised the importance of the topic.

At the end, students and teachers were given an opportunity to clarify queries about the similar incident that may happen in their day to day life.

Ms. Radha, Lecturer in Kannada anchored the program. Overall, this orientation program helped in educating everyone on the importance of Child Safety and Protection.
