Mangaluru, July 28 : Department of Zoology of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in view of World Nature Conservation Day organized a guest lecture on the topic “The most misunderstood creatures - Human and Snake conflict” on 28th July 2023 at A2 Auditorium. Ms Sharanya Bhat, Snake conservationist was the resource person for the session.
Mrs Ameetha K, Head-Department of Zoology florally welcomed the Resource person.
Ms Sharanya Bhat explained the importance of snake conservation. She explained the differences between venomous and non-venomous snakes, further she also described the myths and facts related to the snakes. She highlighted a few facts which gave meaningful insights to the students.
It was a fun and interactive session. The students took an active part in the session. Overall it was a great learning session for all.
Ms Vivid Dsouza presented a memento as a token of gratitude to the resource person.
Around 120 students took part in the session.
Ms Fiza Shameema final year B.Sc. student compered the program.
