Vamanjoor, July 28 : The PTA Annual General Body Meeting for the academic year 2023-2024 was held on July 26, 2023 at St. Raymond's P.U. college auditorium, Vamanjoor. The meeting commenced by imploring the divine blessings. Program was presided over by Rev. Sr. Shubha BS, Coordinator for Educational apostolate, Mangalore Province and the Correspondent of the college. In her presidential address she highlighted Healthy Parent Child Relationship. Parents have a bigger role in shaping the life of their children as they are the teachers at home. They have to give space for the children in the busy schedules and become role models through their actions and deeds, she added.
Rafeeq Master, an Eminent educationist and resource person in his speech on positive parenting took a deep look into the soul of parenting. He asked parents to instill in their children good values to make them Global citizens, tolerant and kind. Bringing up children who finally make a difference to other people's lives can be called successful individuals, he said.
Rev. Sr. Vithalis, Campus Manager and Superior, St. Raymond's Convent graced the occasion with her gracious presence. Sr. Anita Lydia, The Principal, St. Raymond's P.U. College accorded cordial welcome to the gathering. Mrs. Jayalakshmi, Former Vice President , Mr. Abdul Kunhi, Vice President of PTA executive committee were present on the dais. The vibrant tapping of the feet of students strengthened the program to welcome the gathering. Mrs. Savitha Menezes, Joint Secretary , read out the synopsis of the activities of the college and the work undertaken by the PTA in the last academic year. Mrs. Lidwin Crasta, treasurer, placed the audited financial report before the members. Mrs. Getha, Lecturer introduced the guest speaker to the audience.
Lecturers Ms. Radha anchored the meeting, Mrs Harinakshi proposed the vote of thanks. The presence of the parents in large numbers made the program a great success.
