Mangaluru, July 24 : The PTA Annual General Body Meeting of Carmel School, Mangaluru for the year 2023-24 was held in the School Auditorium on Saturday, 22nd July in two sessions.

Prof. Sandra Sunitha Lobo, Associate Professor & HOD, Department of Psychology, School of Social work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, was the Resource Person of the Day. She was escorted to the Auditorium by Sister Lily Pushpa -The Principal, Sister Smitha- the Joint Secretary of St. Ann’s Campus Institutions, Dr. Sr. Prem-The Administrator, Sister Premal- the Vice Principal and Sister Shanthi Lavena- The Coordinator. The First Session was organized for Grades 1 to 4at 9 a.m. and for grades 5 to 10 in the Afternoon.

Teachers’ choir delivered a Prayer Song to invoke The Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence of God. Mrs. Preethi and Sister Shanthi Laveena introduced Sister Lilly Pushpa-the New Principal, Sister Smitha -the Joint Secretary, Dr. Sister Prem- the Administrator, Sister Premal- the Vice Principal of the school to the audience and thereby hospitably and warmly welcomed them with a rose.

Mrs Hazel and Mrs Kausalya introduced the Resource Person. Prof.Sandra in her address briefed on the ABCDs of Modern Parenting and consideration of the 9 most important minutes of a child's day. Further she spotlighted on the most Common Parenting Mistakes. The Speaker then realistically clarified some queries posed by the parents.

The principal unveiled the guidelines and suggestions for parents and guardians assembled in large numbers and thereby emphasised the need of strengthening home values for the healthy socialization of children. The floor was open for interactive session and the principal addressed the issues raised by the parents. Dr. Sr Prem, made known to the participants the names of the members of the PTA executive committee for the academic year.

Mrs. Dimple and Ms Shwetha anchored the programme and Sister Premal extended words of gratitude.
