Puttur , July 9, 2023 : St Philomena College Puttur has been buzzing with farewell programs for all the streams organized by the loving junior students of the college. Every stream viz. B.C.A., B.Com., B.B.A., B.A., B.Sc., conducted the bidding adieu under directions of the Principal Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro. Rev. Fr Stany Pinto, Campus Director,Vice Principals and Deans of the respective disciplines guided the students to come up with the healthy tradition befitting the decorum of the college which has more than six decades of rich legacy in forming the personalities useful to the society. Farewell signifies a warm goodbye to the friends with whom they grew up celebrating good times together and wishing all good for the future as they step into new realms of life.
Wisdom wrapped up in the Presidential remarks by the principal on all five programs.
- Use freedom with responsibility.
- Where there is discipline there is growth.
- Where there is no confusion there is growth.
- What we choose only will form us.
- Times pass, if there is demand for the subject or not: check if you are competent to the current demands in the job market.
- Gold is always gold .... be useful to society.
- Emotions with strong reasoning even after 25 years is the test for gratefulness towards the institution.
- Good attitudes should be initiated.
- Bad memories if any are to be left out.
- Use emotions at a proper level.
- Love, discipline and commitment should be the core values of life.
- Have a meaningful life and a grateful heart.
- Love whatever profession you do.
- Do not rest lest one should rust.
