Mangaluru, July 3 : The investiture ceremony of Carmel School, Mangaluru for the academic year 2023-24 was held on 30th June 2023, in the school auditorium. Sister Smitha A.C., the newly appointed joint secretary and the President of the ceremony, Dr. Mrs. Farita Veigas, the chief guest of the day, Sr Lily Pushpa, the Principal, Dr. Sr. Prem D’Souza, the Administrator, Sr Premal, the Vice Principal and Sr Shanthi Lavina ,the Coordinator were present for the occasion along with the Teaching staff and students of classes 6 to 10.

The esteemed guests received an exuberant welcome on their arrival to the rhythmic beats of the school band and a traditional Aarathi.

The solemn ceremony began with the formal March of the cabinet members led by the School Pupil Leader, Jenisha Sequeira followed by a meaningful prayer service. During this glorious event the faculty and the student body accorded a genial welcome to the joint secretary, Sr Smitha A.C. A floral welcome was accorded to all the dignitaries. The faculty and the student body were also extended a welcome.

After the annunciation of portfolios for ministers and deputies, the badges were pinned by the Principal and Vice Principal followed by the administration of oath. As a symbol of entrusting responsibilities, the principal handed over the school flag to the representatives of the school cabinet.

Jenisha Sequeira expressed her emotions and gratitude to the principal and entire faculty for the opportunity received to be the School Pupil Leader of the prestigious institution and assured that as a team they would join hands in taking the school to greater heights of Glory and success.

Sr. Smitha A.C., in her presidential address highlighted the importance of being responsible leaders and serving their peers with dignity and integrity. She encouraged the cabinet members to be compassionate and duty bound towards their fellow Schoolmates. Dr Mrs Farita N. F. Veigas stressed on various aspects of being a role model to others and asked the leaders to serve the student body with humility, selflessness and dedicated service.

Manvi D. Shetty and Dhanishka of grade 10 compered the programme. Sahithya U. K., Assistant School Pupil leader expressed the words of gratitude.
