Mulki, Dec. 27, 2022 : Bethany English Medium Higher Primary School celebrated Annual Day with fervor and exuberance as the students jubilant in spirits showcased their talent and skills not only through a Cultural programme but also through the Prize Distribution awarded to the most outstanding students in Academics for the year 2022- 23. The Annual Day was graced by the members of the Bethany Education Society, Managing Committee, parents, teachers, students.
Indeed we were greatly privileged by the presence of Rev. Dr Sr Lilly Periera BS – the Provincial Secretary and Councillor – the president of annual day function, Rev Dr Sr Mariola BS – The Deputy Secretary of Bethany Educational society & Superior of Madeleine Convent Mulki as Guests of honour, Mr.H Vasanth Bernhardt- Member of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee as a Chief guest, Rev. Fr. Sylvester D,Costa the Parish Priest, Immaculate conception church Mulki as a chief guest, Mr. M Gopinath Padanga –the Vice President Kilpadi Gram Panchayat, Sr Marie Lyta the Correspondent of Bethany and Madeleine Institutions, Sr Rita Sharal BS the beloved Headmistress.
The Headmistress Sr Rita Sharal welcomed the esteemed guests and gathering with her words of welcome. Thereafter presented the Annual Report highlighting the prominent features of the school, the achievements in academics and co-curricular activities for the year 2022 – 23.
The Parish Priest, Rev.Fr Sylvester Dcosta blessed and encouraged the students with his presence. He reminded the audience about the importance of the Education and co - curricular activities which play an important role in the life of every child to exhibit their talents. He urged everyone to value and preserve the rich heritage of our country, to protect Indian culture as it has the potential to rule the world.
The Provincial Councillor Rev Sr Dr Lilly Periera, the President of the day addressed and highlighted the vision and action for the young learners. She also stressed on the significance and value of education for one and all.
The Chief Guest of the day, Rev. Sr Dr. Mariola in her address opined that education is a continuous process and education earns wisdom only if academics are not taken as the end but a means to progress. She stressed that for a wholesome personality of a student, schools should encourage a balance between Academics, Cultural and Sports activities. She congratulated the Management of the Bethany School for maintaining these parameters to be of foremost importance and providing excellent facilities and opportunities to its young learners.
The Chief Guest did the honours of bestowing the numerous and varied awards upon the deserving students.
The cultural programme enthralled everyone; the audience was awestruck with the talent and skill revealed in each performance. There were feet tapping Dances, side-splitting skits, Christmas celebrations etc. The cultural programme was followed by the proposal of a Vote of Thanks by the Asst. Teacher Mrs. Preetha.
The event came to a close with the Bethany Anthem.
