Nirmalpadav - Parapady , Jun 2, 2024 : The Sunday Catechism Year 2024-25 was inaugurated symbolically on Sunday, 2nd June 2024 during 8.15am mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalpadav . All children came with joy and enthusiasm for the Sunday catechism class. It was very fitting that we inaugurated the catechism year with the celebration of the word of God - the Enthronement of the Bible. All the teachers and One representative from each class came in procession to the Altar. During the Holy Mass the Catechism Teachers were called upon to renew the vows and commit themselves to the wonderful ministry of teaching Catechism.

Fr Denis Dsouza , Parish Priest presided over the ceremony. Fr. Denis Dsouza in his sermon emphasized on the need of Catechism and Christian upbringing. He encouraged the children to be faithful to the catechism classes and take keen interest in learning about truths of Christian Faith. Teachers pledged their commitment to the ministry of catechising children.

Soon after the Mass , holy Eucharistic adoration was conducted by Fr Denis , on the occasion ianuguration of the catechism academic year .

Catechetical year was inaugurated by lightning lamp by  Rev Fr Denis Dsouza, parish priest , Mr Arun Dsilva, Vice president, Mrs. Anitha Dsa , Secretary of parish Pastoral council, and Mrs Jacintha Dsa , Coordinator of 21 commissions , along with catechism students.

Fr. Denis D'souza introduced the teachers and wished them all the best. The liturgy was coordinated by the Catechism Coordinator and Catechism Teachers.
