Mangaluru, Nov 2 : The program of  St. Sebastian Auditorium Inauguration at Sebastian Church Permannur began with a thanksgiving mass presided by Msgr. Maxim Noronha, Vicar General of Mangalore diocese on 1st November 2022. Later the newly constructed high mast light was inaugurated by Msgr. Maxim Noronha. The crowd later proceeded to the inauguration of the newly constructed auditorium.

The newly constructed St Sebastian Auditorium was Inaugurated by the Renowned Physician Dr U.C.S. Bhat in the Premises of St Sebastian Church Permannur. Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha the Bishop of Mangalore blessed the Auditorium and presided over the programme. His grace addressing the gathering, said that this Auditorium is the fruit of faith and love. It will help be a testimonial for religious unity. Further his grace added saying, ‘There is nothing impossible for God, in faith everything is possible’ and this Auditorium is the great sign of faith.

Sri U.T Khadar MLA, Mangalore Constituency, Deputy Leader of the Opposition; Sri D. Vedavyas Kumar the Member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Mangalore city south, solemnized the program as the Chief Guests. At this occasion, both the MLAs and the family of Dr U.C.S. Bhat were honored with great and due respect by the Bishop.

Rev Fr J B Saldanha the Parish Priest of St Francis Xavier Church Bejai; The religious Leaders Sri Chandrahas and Haji Rashid as well as Smt Chitrakala Chandrakanth the President of Ullal City Municipal Council along with Sri Basil Dsouza and Smt Veena Dsouza the councilors , The Superiors - Sr. Joseph Mary BS , Bethel Convent Permannur and Sr Alphonca, Nirmala Convent Ullal graced the programme with their presence.

The Auditorium Souvenir was released to mark this occasion. The lucky Coupon draw was held. The Parish ward leaders as well as all those who rendered their help either through kind or deed were honored by giving memento.

Rev. Fr Cyprian Pinto the Parish Priest of St Sebastian Church, Welcomed the gathering with his warm and smiling words. Sri. Maurice Monteiro, the Vice president of the Parish Council Thanked everyone. Mr. Ronald Fernandes and Mrs Cynthia D’Souza anchored the programme. The program ended with dinner.
