Puttur, 21 Jan 2025 : Students of St Philomena Autonomous College have brought laurels to their institution by delivering brilliant performances at the State Olympics Weightlifting Competition. The athletes secured medals in various categories.

Ranjith, a second-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) student, claimed the gold medal in the 108+ kg category. Spandana, a second-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) student, earned a silver medal in the 45 kg category. Beulah PT, a second-year Master of Commerce (MCom) student, also secured a silver medal in the 64 kg category, while Shivani, another second-year BSc student, added a bronze medal in the 45 kg category.

The athletes’ achievements have added another feather to the cap of the illustrious sports legacy of St Philomena College. Their success has been met with great pride and appreciation by the institution.

Very Rev. Lawrence Mascarenhas, the Correspondent, and Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the Principal of the College, congratulated the medallists on their phenomenal achievements.
