Nirkan - Bantwal, Jan 3 : The "Bye 2024, Welcome 2025" New Year celebration was held on December 31, 2024 by Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R.) Nirkan unit, immediately after the year-end Mass at 9 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan.

The event was graced by Rev. Fr. Leo William Lobo, the Parish Priest; Rev. Fr. Stany Rodrigues, OCD; Vincent Bennis, the Vice President of PPC Nirkan; Melwin D’Souza and Shanthi Veigas, the President and Secretary of the Catholic Sabha Nirkan Unit, respectively.

The celebration featured the cutting of the New Year cake, marking the joyous occasion.
Melwin D’Souza, President of the Catholic Sabha Nirkan Unit, welcomed the guests on the dais.

The program highlights included:
● An auction featuring the saree of Velankanni Mai and the New Year cake, etc.
● A comedy skit.
● Spot games with prizes.
● Distribution of elocution competition prizes.

Austin Lobo, the IPP of Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit compered the program.
