Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2024 : Rosa Mystica Convent, Kinnikambla, Mangalore, was honored to welcome Bishops Jean-Pierre Bassene of Kolda, Senegal, and Victor Ndione of Nouakchott, Mauritania, along with Fr. Vincent Lobo, a Pilar Father working in Senegal. The visit was marked by warmth and cultural exchange, with the Tertians greeting the Bishops through a traditional dance, followed by a floral welcome. Sr. Sadhana’s heartfelt words made the Bishops feel at home, deepening the connection between the Sisters in Mangalore and their African counterparts.

During their address, the Bishops shared their joy, describing how they had seen a light in the distance, which had now arrived in Mauritania, thanks to the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany. They expressed deep gratitude for the selfless service of the Bethany Congregation, whose efforts, initiated by the Servant of God, RFC Mascarenhas, have blossomed in Africa, particularly in Mauritania and Senegal. They praised Rev Sr. Rose Celine, the Superior General, and past Superiors General for their visionary leadership in supporting the mission in Africa.

The program also featured a skit by the novices, conveying a profound message of openness to God's will. The Bishops Blessed the gathering, and Sr. Juliet Shanthi concluded the event with a vote of thanks.

The Bishops also visited the Rosa Mystica Novitiate, where they Blessed the Novices and staff, making the visit a memorable and joyful occasion for all at the convent.
